There are any number of ways you can help us in our mission to save unwanted animals! From donating $5 to becoming a foster parent, all levels of involvement are welcome. And please don't be shy, we are always open to new ideas!

    Donations

Monetary donations are always welcome. We currently have one dog in boarding until she can find an adoptive or foster home. She is a dog that was adopted, but we needed to take her back. We also have some leftover bills for vet work and micro chips that need to be paid as well as money to establish a fund for new veterinary expenses that always arise.

Donations of supplies are never turned down either! Dog and cat food, cat litter, toys, blankets, towels, bedding, plastic crates, wire crates and chain link kennel fence panels are all welcome. We recently had all of our large wire crates and plastic crates stolen by some “volunteers”, so these items are particularly needed.

Donations of time can also help! Do you enjoy talking to other people? Would you like to help with Adoption Fairs, do home checks, transport animals, help with fundraisers, write grants, pick up donations, work on the computer? Your imagination is your only limit as to what you might be able to do to help the animals.

Becoming a Foster Mom or Dad or Family

The backbone of helping unwanted animals find forever homes is our wonderful network of foster Mom's or Dad's or Family's. When you decide to foster, you are not making a permanent lifelong commitment to a pet, but you are committing to caring for a dog or cat for a time until they are adopted or until your situation changes. And should you fall in love with the pet, you always get the first chance to adopt him or her yourself! We have dogs and cats available right now who are looking for a good foster home until the right adoptive home comes along or you may want to pick a dog from www.dogsindanger.com who needs a foster home. Tuffie's Animal Rescue is an all breed rescue, so we take all ages and sizes of animals from purebreds to mutts. We pay for the vet work and you provide the food, training and love. If you are interested in fostering and want to talk with other people who have done it successfully, just email Diane@TARescue.com or call Diane at (623)587-9119 or (925)209-6480.
